POINT HITTING WARMUP
 

  1. Thumb side with thumbs tucked underneath. Point: Hoku (Large Intestine 4). Where: At the highest spot of the muscle when the thumb and index finger are brought close together. The point is mid-distant on a line between the junction of the first and second metacarpal bones and the border of the web, slightly towards the second metacarpal bone. Master Ho says helps eyesight, gum problem. Plus will prevent catching cold because benefits head.
     
  2. Outer edge of palms. Point: Wangu (Small Intestine 4). Where: At the ulnar side of the border of the palm in the depression between the base of the fifth metacarpal bone and the trigonal bone. Prevent neck stiffness. Also relax neck. Prevent bone degeneration, tinnitus, apprehension.
     
  3. Inside wrists near heel of hands. Point: Daling (Pericardium 7). Where: At the midpoint of the transverse crease of the wrist. Note: Helps to go to sleep. Also heart problem, psychosomatic disorders.
     
  4. Interlaced fingers. Point: Baxie in finger webs (Extra 28). To locate make a loose fist with palm downward. Good for joints. Helps circulation. Decongests and activates the channels and their vessels.
     
  5. Thumb web. Point: Baxie in thumb web (Extra 28).
     
  6. Top outer wrist on hand side of big bone. Point: Yangchi (Triple Warmer 4). Where: In a depression of the transverse crease of dorsum of wrist between the musculus extensor digitorum communis and musculus extensor digiti quinti proprius. Helps internal organs. Supposedly can prevent and cure diabetes.
     
  7. Fist to palm. Point: Laogong (Pericardium 8). Where: In the middle of the palm, between the middle and the ring fingers, adjacent to the third metacarpal bone. Helps indigestion, writer's cramp. Pacifies the spirit, reduces edema.
     
  8. Side of hip. Point: Juliao (Gall Bladder 29). Where: Midway between the anterior superior iliac spine and the highest point of the greater trochanter of the femur. Irregular periods, cystitus, pain in lumbar region.
     
  9. 1/3 to buttock. Point: Huantiao (Gall Bladder 30). Where: At the junction of the middle and lateral third of the distance between the highest point of the great trochanter of the femur and the hiatus of the sacrum. Sciatica, pain in knee, influenza, nervous exhaustion.
     
  10. Mid-fingertip touch. Point: Fengshi (Gall Bladder 31) Where: When standing erect, hands close to the thighs, the point is at the tip of the middle finger. Paralysis of lower limbs, weakness of legs, sores.
     
  11. Six finger widths above outside ankle. Point: Guangming (Gall Bladder 37). Where: Five can abve the tip of the external malleolus, close to the anterior border of the fibula. Good for tired eyes, glaucoma, night blindness.
     
  12. Knocking at the Gate of Life. Point: Jianjing (Gall Bladder 21) & Ming Men (Du 4). Where: Midway between neck and shoulder, and upper small of back. Helps unblock chi, ulcers, stiff neck, pain in shoulder or back.
